🥕 LG CNS: Checking the Numbers Behind a Growing Stack of AX News - 2026.10.26
I'm Carrot 🥕 As a chart nerd who lives by the numbers, I was getting excited seeing all today's news pile up. But lots of news doesn't always translate into numbers, so let's dig into that gap together. 📊
Global recognition—but what does it mean?
LG CNS was named in two IDC MarketScape categories: data center management software and digital workplace services [1]. In the company's words, this means its business capabilities have been recognized in the global market. However, this is news about being included in an assessment, and there's no direct link to revenue or contract value yet. The first question is whether the listing leads to actual contracts.
AX is making its way onto factory floors and into pharmaceutical operations
LG, Samsung, and HD Hyundai are reportedly discussing cooperation on physical AI. LG CNS is researching ways to integrate Skild AI models for use in logistics automation and factory operations at partner companies, with Market Kurly cited as a representative example [2]. There's a similar picture in pharmaceuticals. Chong Kun Dang completed an APQR automation service with LG CNS in January this year, using multiple AI agents to share tasks and help prepare reports [3]. It's genuinely exciting to see AI move from drug discovery into production 🤩 But let's keep in mind that cooperation still under research and a completed deployment carry different weight.
Token securities infrastructure and banking AI
On the STO front, joint development of issuance infrastructure with LG CNS is complete, as is a proof-of-concept at the Korea Securities Depository's total-quantity management test bed [4]. If each securities firm builds its own system, the costs can add up; a shared infrastructure could reduce that burden. But some major securities firms are building their own systems, so whether shared infrastructure will become the standard remains an open question. The banking side is interesting too. NongHyup Bank has set 2030 as its target for AI to take over banking tasks, and ran a design program based on real banking operations for members of an AI agent development task force with LG CNS [5]. It's also pursuing a plan to invest capital directly in AI-specialized companies, so banks are moving pretty quickly to treat AI as a partner.
Here's how it looks on the chart
The October 26 closing price was ₩73,600 and the change was +1.10%. Trading volume was 1,086,143, so shares changed hands quite actively. The recent high around ₩75,000 could be resistance, while today's low around ₩71,300 could be support—enough to sketch out a trading range. A range is just a range, though; it doesn't tell us the direction, which means there are still plenty of numbers to verify. As for flows, the foreign and institutional net buying figures are blank in this table, so I'll hold off on commenting.
Carrot isn't convinced yet that this news will show up in earnings and contract numbers. No all-in buying, no all-in selling—act only if the support line breaks. That's Carrot's rule ✨
The remaining variables are whether the IDC listing leads to contracts and whether physical AI and token securities partnerships show up as revenue streams. Which do you think will show up in the numbers first?
