One-sentence Summaries

LG Electronics Structural changes in the core business are visible first; AIDC is an additional option. Ranked 1st, but with only +17.7% to the Base upper bound, there is no reason to chase the price.

LG CNS Reasons why it looks cheap and reasons why it might stay cheap coexist. The moment captive references are replicated for non-affiliated customers will be the starting point for re-rating.

LG Innotek The iPhone event and the potential success of FC-BGA remain valid. However, the asymmetry of +8.2% at the Base upper bound vs. -36.6% at the Bear lower bound is unfavorable.

What Has Changed — Re-verifying the June Bullish Report

This report is not a mere rewrite of the June 4th bullish report with updated prices. We have shifted our framework from adding options as value first, to placing confirmed profits first and assigning probabilities to unconfirmed options.

ItemJune 4th JudgmentJuly 22nd Re-verificationCurrent Application
Valuation MethodActively added future options onto core business via SOTPMOUs, company targets, and partnerships lack specific customers, amounts, and marginsConfirmed profits as Base, unconfirmed businesses separated into Bull probabilities

Conversely, VS, subscriptions, webOS, and 2Q profits have improvedBull 240,000~280,000 KRW, Super Bull 320,000 KRW+. Probability of Base realization increased
LG CNS Upper BoundBull 194,000 KRW · Super Bull 209,500 KRWExternal revenue and margins for CBDC, Physical AI, and AIDC options are unconfirmed. 1Q AI/Cloud growth rate of 6.7% underperformed the company-wide 8.6%.Bull 95,000~110,000 KRW, Super Bull 130,000 KRW+. LG Innotek Upper BoundBull 1,610,000 KRW · Super Bull 1,678,000 KRWFC-BGA server customers, mass production, yield, and margins are unconfirmed. Robot collaboration is also in the development stage.Bull 850,000~1,000,000 KRW, Super Bull 1,150,000 KRW+. Separation of long-term and event accounts.
India IPOActively evaluating the equity value of the Indian subsidiary as an SOTP item.An inflow of approximately 1.8 trillion KRW after-tax is confirmed, but it is a known cash event for 2025 and not recurring EPS.Moved from a Bull catalyst to a financial buffer supporting the Bear floor.
Nature of the Target PriceMaintained regardless of short-term stock price declines as it is the sum of business values. If the realization probability and normalized profit of options change, the fair value must be recalculated.Attached expiration and invalidation conditions to all prices and recalculated gains/losses relative to the current price.

The upper bound was not lowered significantly because the stock price dropped.**In June, we gave a high value to the fact that "options exist"; this time, we ask, "To whom is that option sold, at what price, and what margin does it leave?"**Areas with no answer to that question were removed from the Base case and moved to Bull. Conversely, newly confirmed figures, such as LG Electronics' VS, subscriptions, webOS, and Q2 profits, increased the realization probability of the Base case.

Conclusion of the ChangelogThe growth story has not been discarded. We have distinguished between the existence of an option and its current value. Although this target price is lower, it is much clearer what needs to be confirmed for it to be raised again.

From Announcement to Profit — Stages of Evidence Separating the Three Companies

All three talk about AI. If so, who can be bought first and at what price? The answer lies in the distance the announcement has traveled toward recurring profit.

LG Electronics, LG CNS, and LG Innotek talk about a grand future involving data center cooling, Physical AI, FC-BGA, and next-generation cameras. When stock prices rise, MOUs are read like contracts and company targets are calculated as confirmed revenue. Conversely, when a correction begins, even currently earned profits are questioned. Therefore, this investigation measured the distance a material has traveled toward becoming a business, rather than the number of materials.Distance Traveled from Material to BusinessWe sequentially verified whether collaboration announcements led to actual supply, whether supply spread to recurring customers, and whether margins improved as revenue increased.

StageItems to ConfirmTreatment in Valuation
1. ThemeMarket growth, company's willingness to enterObservation only. Not directly added to target price
2. CollaborationMOU, joint development, ecosystem partnershipGranted eligibility as a Bull option only
3. ContractCustomer, amount, duration, scope of supplyCalculate revenue recognition probability
4. RecurringReplication for non-affiliated customers, additional orders, order backlogEnables re-rating of Base multiple
5. ProfitNormalized gross profit margin and operating profit marginActually raises EPS and fair value

LG Electronics' AIDC cooling is at the beginning of Stage 3. Supply to North American hyperscalers and the Jakarta reference have been officially confirmed, but customer names and contract amounts remain undisclosed. LG CNS's Physical AI is in Stage 3 with a 189.7 billion KRW contract within the group, but Stage 4 (recurring external customers) remains. LG Innotek's FC-BGA has clear company goals and entry plans, but lacks server customers, mass production revenue, yield, and margins, placing it between Stages 2 and 3.

Excluded from Figures

  • **“Multi-billion dollar cooling contract with Microsoft”**was discarded as no official evidence was found.
  • The announcement with Flex is an MOU for a joint solution. It is not merged into a single contract with the North American hyperscaler supply record mentioned in the same announcement.
  • The total project cost of 280 billion KRW for the Wanju Data Center is not calculated as revenue attributable to LG Electronics.
  • Reports of variable aperture supplies for the iPhone 18 Pro are currently at the third-party supply chain reporting stage. Official confirmation from Apple and LG Innotek, along with details on ASP and order volumes, is still required.
  • Collaboration in robotics and Physical AI will remain strictly as a Bull option until mass production deliveries, revenue, and margins are confirmed.

Judgment on the First Chapter The investment thesis for all three companies remains valid. However, the distance to actual earnings realization follows the order of LG Electronics AIDC Cooling → LG CNS External Customer Expansion → LG Innotek FC-BGA. MOUs and corporate targets are not calculated as current profits.

Second Chapter

LG Electronics — Why we aren't chasing it now despite its #1 rank

The reason LG Electronics is ranked first is not because the AIDC dream is the biggest. It is because it has the most profit sources that can be explained even without AIDC.

If you still view LG Electronics only as a home appliance company, you will miss the current transformation. Conversely, rebranding it as a robot/AI company overnight would mean pricing in expectations too early. Its exact position is in the middle. Recurring profits from VS, subscriptions, and webOS are growing on top of the cyclical core businesses of appliances and TVs, while AIDC cooling is at the stage of testing a fourth pillar.

First Change — VS has started showing profits, not just revenue

In Q1 2026, VS revenue reached 3.64 trillion KRW with an operating profit of 212 billion KRW, exceeding a 6% operating margin. Due to long development cycles and initial costs, auto parts often see delayed profit conversion despite large backlogs. Therefore, the significance of these figures is not that "automotive revenue is large," but rather that it has entered a phase where secured revenue is converting into profit.

Second Change — Subscriptions and webOS reduce economic volatility

Q1 subscription revenue rose 15% YoY to 640 billion KRW, and 2025 webOS advertising/content revenue surpassed 1 trillion KRW. While not yet at a scale to transform the entire company into a platform enterprise, it is shifting from a structure of one-time product sales to one of recurring earnings over the usage period. This shift is more important for the quality of the multiple than for revenue growth.

Third Change — AIDC already has references, but no price tag yet

LG Electronics has officially announced cooling supply for North American hyperscale data centers and references for a Jakarta AI data center. It is true that they have moved beyond "reviewing the business" to the actual supply stage. However, since customer names, contract amounts, and revenue recognition periods have not been disclosed, we cannot calculate how much this will change the consolidated EPS. Currently, AIDC is not 0 KRW, but rather an option that has value but cannot be assigned an exact price.

Strong First Half, but we don't count it twice

An operating profit of 3.25 trillion KRW in the first half of 2026 adds weight to the structural improvement thesis. However, Q2 includes one-time gains related to US tariff refunds. We do not simply annualize first-half profits before the exact figures are released. The approximately 1.8 trillion KRW post-tax inflow from the 15% secondary sale of the India subsidiary's shares provides a cash floor, but it is not recurring EPS. We do not add the full amount to the target price until its use is finalized.

Judgment on the Second Chapter LG Electronics' investment logic does not hang on a single line of AIDC. VS, subscriptions, and webOS buy time while AIDC opens up the upside. However, at 182,700 KRW, it is already close to the bottom of the Base case, so it is not a price to chase simply because it is ranked #1.

Third Chapter

LG CNS — Why it looks the cheapest, but we can't buy in bulk

LG CNS has the contracts and the implementation capabilities. What is needed now is recurring orders that go beyond "work given by LG to LG."

The logic for viewing LG CNS as cheap is simple. Based on the closing price of 64,600 KRW on July 22, 2026, the estimated PER is 13.10x. AI and cloud revenue account for 58% of sales, and Physical AI infrastructure contracts have been confirmed. While the name features "AI," the price is closer to that of a traditional IT services company. If external expansion is confirmed, it could see the fastest multiple expansion among the three companies.

However, that very "external expansion" is still missing. The Physical AI infrastructure contract with LG Electronics is worth 189.7 billion KRW, spanning from August 2026 to July 2029. This represents about 3.1% of the projected 2025 revenue of 6.13 trillion KRW, or 63.2 billion KRW per year when averaged over three years. While the substance of the contract is clear, this single deal is unlikely to shift the entire company's growth rate.

The Trap of the 58% Figure

AI and cloud revenue of 765.4 billion KRW accounts for 58% of total revenue. However, this does not consist solely of high-margin software; it includes cloud infrastructure, implementation, and integration revenue. Furthermore, the first-quarter growth rate of 6.7% was lower than the company-wide growth rate of 8.6%. "Having a large share," "growing rapidly," and "having high margins" are three different things.

The Scene Where Revaluation Begins

LG Group's factories and data centers serve as excellent showrooms. If the references built here are replicated for other domestic manufacturers or overseas customers, customer concentration will decrease, and margins can improve by repeatedly selling the same solutions. At that point, LG CNS will shift from an SI multiple to a solution/platform multiple. Conversely, if contracts remain confined within the group, the current 13x multiple may be a fair value rather than a discount.

Collaborations with Palantir AIP, NVIDIA AI Factory, and Claude Enterprise demonstrate technical capabilities and ecosystem connectivity. However, a partner's name does not automatically equate to revenue for LG CNS. What matters is whether contract amounts, non-affiliated customers, or gross profit margins actually improve.

Verdict of the Third ChapterFor LG CNS, the right approach is not "buy big because it's cheap," but rather "secure a small position, confirm external replication, and then go big." A limited entry is possible between 60,000 and 65,000 KRW, but a cap should be placed on the position size until there is evidence of non-affiliated customer growth.

Chapter Four

LG Innotek — Why Is It 3rd Despite Having the Highest Upside Momentum?

Cameras in September can move the stock price, and FC-BGA for servers can transform the company. However, for both catalysts, the core figures for valuation remain empty.

Two clocks with different speeds are ticking at LG Innotek. The first is the variable aperture camera for the iPhone 18 Pro. Since product reveals and supply expectations converge on the clear calendar date of September, the stock price may react ahead of actual performance. The second is FC-BGA for servers. If this business secures customers and yields, the dependence on Apple cameras will decrease, and the company's entire profit structure will change.

The Event Clock — iPhone 18 and Variable Aperture

Third-party reports that supply chain production has begun mean the catalyst has advanced one step beyond mere rumors. However, Apple's product announcement, LG Innotek's supply confirmation, module ASP, and order volumes are still missing. Even if specifications are added, the impact on profit varies greatly depending on whether they replace existing parts and how much they increase module prices and margins. The September event is a date for the stock price but not yet **a figure for profit.**is not the case.

The Structural Change Clock — FC-BGA for Servers

The company presented plans to enter the server market in 2026, targeting $700 million in FC-BGA revenue and 3 trillion KRW in package solution revenue by 2030. The direction is clear. However, server customer names, mass production revenue, yields, and margins have not been disclosed. Since utilization rates and yields determine profit and loss in the substrate business, securing customers alone is not enough. If losses persist during the mass production ramp-up, expectations could turn into costs.

What the Price is Telling Us

From 647,000 KRW to the upper end of the Base fair value at 700,000 KRW, there is a +8.2% upside. Conversely, the downside to the Bear bottom of 410,000 KRW is -36.6%. If a Bull scenario unfolds, there is momentum of +31.4% to +54.6%, but that requires evidence that does not yet exist: server customers, mass production, margins, and camera ASP. Judging that there is a high probability of good news is not the same as judging that the risk-reward ratio of the current price is favorable.

Therefore, we separate long-term accounts from event accounts. For long-term accounts, we buy into the structural changes of FC-BGA but wait for the right price; for event accounts, we strictly manage the August adjustment and the potential fading of expectations around September. Mixing the two leads to either labeling a failed event trade as a long-term investment or prematurely dumping a long-term position immediately after an event.

Verdict of the Fourth ChapterLG Innotek may possess the strongest upward momentum, but its current risk-reward ratio is the least favorable among the three companies. We maintain it at 3rd place until an adjustment to 570,000–600,000 KRW occurs or until FC-BGA customers, mass production, and margins are confirmed.

Fifth Chapter

Four Perspectives

The conclusion converged into one, but the reasons for arriving at that conclusion and the speed of execution differed.

🧅 Onion · Macro and Liquidity

VS (Vehicle component Solutions) profits and cash from the India IPO support the floor for LG Electronics, while AIDC opens up the ceiling. For CNS, a single external contract is the strongest candidate to shift its multiple most rapidly. However, we lower the Base upper bound for LG Electronics, accepting the counterargument that the India cash is an already known, non-recurring asset.

🌰 Acorn · Finance and Valuation

The one-time tariff refund must be separated from the 1.58 trillion KRW in Q2. Adding the India cash 1:1 to the target price would be double-counting, and part of the AIDC expectations is already baked into the multiple. We will not chase the stock until the contract size and normalized profits are visible.

🥜 Peanut · Events and Growth

The ranking for a 6–18 month holding period differs from the ranking for a September event. In terms of long-term risk-adjusted returns, CNS has a safer downside, but for a swing trade with a clear date, LG Innotek is 2nd. This opinion should be executed through a separate event account, not a long-term position.

🥕 Carrot · Quant and Risk

Options should not be calculated as current profit; instead, the price and invalidation conditions must be set first. For Innotek, the -36.6% Bear downside is much further away than the +8.2% Base upside. Even if there are good catalysts, we wait if the current risk-reward ratio is poor.

Synthesis of the Four Perspectives

Three analysts, based on 6–18 month risk-adjusted returns, LG Electronics > LG CNS > LG Innotek, and one analyst, based on an event swing trade, LG Electronics > LG Innotek > LG CNSwere the suggestions. The team adopted the former as the final ranking and preserved the latter as a separate short-term strategy.

The discussion changed the 'temperature' of conviction more than the ranking itself. LG Electronics maintained 1st place, but its status was downgraded from 'Aggressive Buy' to 'Buy on Dips' at the current price. The India IPO cash moved from a Bull catalyst to a Bear buffer. The Flex MOU and actual North American supply performance were decoupled. For LG Innotek, the stance shifted from 'Buy because there are good catalysts' to 'Buy when either the price or the evidence improves.'

Verdict of the Fifth ChapterThe ranking was not determined by a simple majority vote. We compared the strength of official evidence, the expectations already priced in, and the potential downside if proven wrong. Event-based perspectives that did not reach consensus were not deleted but isolated into separate accounts.

Sixth Chapter

Putting a Price on It — Team's Proprietary Target Prices

A target price is not a single correct answer but a map of conditions. We start with the current price and see which events justify which price levels.

The Base scenario centers on the intersection of the ranges provided by the four analysts, using confirmed recurring profits and current forward multiples as anchors. The Bear scenario serves as a coordinate for weight management when profit normalization and multiple contraction overlap. Upside beyond Bull only opens when evidence of contracts, external customers, and mass production—which are not yet included in the Base—is confirmed. The probabilities below are not statistical frequencies, but **the team's subjective judgment values based on current evidence.**and will be re-evaluated at the time of the next earnings release and contract disclosure.

LG Electronics (066570) — Reference Closing Price 182,700 KRW

ScenarioProbabilityFair ValueVs. Current PriceConditions
Bear20%130,000~150,000 KRW-28.8%~-17.9%Earnings normalization after removing one-offs, home appliance slowdown, delay in AIDC order disclosure
Base55%190,000~215,000 KRW+4.0%~+17.7%Continued improvement in VS, subscriptions, and webOS; AIDC remains a limited option
Bull20%240,000~280,000 KRW+31.4%~+53.3%Repeated AIDC orders with disclosed amounts/periods and upward revision of normalized EPS
Super Bull5%Over 320,000 KRWOver +75.2%Simultaneous monetization of cooling, robotics, and platforms along with multiple re-rating

The center of the Base scenario is in the low 200,000 KRW range. While expected returns remain at the current price, there is little reason to chase the stock given the Base lower bound of +4.0% before separating one-offs. A move to Bull requires both AIDC contract amounts and normalized EPS to rise together.

LG CNS (064400) — Reference Closing Price 64,600 KRW

ScenarioProbabilityFair ValueVs. Current PriceConditions
Bear25%45,000~55,000 KRW-30.3%~-14.9%AI/Cloud slowdown, lack of external contracts, regression to SI multiples
Base55%72,000~82,000 KRW+11.5%~+26.9%Maintenance of existing growth and profitability, gradual external expansion
Bull17%95,000~110,000 KRW+47.1%~+70.3%Repeated non-captive orders with disclosed amounts and margin improvement
Super Bull3%Over 130,000 KRWOver +101.2%Large-scale external monetization of AI Factory, AIDC, and Agentic AI

The current price has room for +11.5% up to the Base lower bound. However, what opens the door to the Bull scenario is non-captive contracts and margins, not famous partners. Do not pay upfront for the Bull scenario; buy only for the Base scenario before evidence is secured.

Chapter Six · Continued

LG Innotek's Value and the Asymmetry of the Three Companies

LG Innotek (011070) — Reference Closing Price 647,000 KRW

ScenarioProbabilityFair ValueVs. Current PriceConditions
Bear30%410,000~500,000 KRW-36.6%~-22.7%iPhone expectations missed, substrate investment burden, FC-BGA delay
Base50%620,000~700,000 KRW-4.2%~+8.2%Camera specification improvements, FC-BGA at early entry stage
Bull17%850,000~1,000,000 KRW+31.4%~+54.6%Confirmation of server customers, mass production, and margins along with camera ASP increase
Super Bull3%Over 1,150,000 KRWOver +77.7%Simultaneous confirmation of large FC-BGA customers and robot sensor mass production

The problem with LG Innotek is not that the Bull scenario is small. It is that there is still little evidence to move toward the Bull scenario, and the potential loss in the Bear scenario is larger than the reward available in the Base scenario. Once server FC-BGA customers and mass production revenue are officially confirmed, this asymmetry will shift rapidly, and it will be compared against LG CNS for the 2nd place again.

The nature of the three companies as shown by price

StockBase Upper BoundBear Lower BoundWhat the price says
LG Electronics+17.7%-28.8%Structural change is most certain, but the reward for chasing is not large
LG CNS+26.9%-30.3%Risk and reward are relatively balanced, but external evidence is needed
LG Innotek+8.2%-36.6%The current price risk-reward ratio is the least favorable, with high dependence on the Bull scenario

This table is the core of the final ranking. In terms of upside potential alone, LG Innotek's Super Bull scenario might be the most brilliant. However, investment priority is determined not by the peak, but by the expected value considering both probability and downside.

Verdict of Chapter SixLG Electronics has the most evidence, but we wait for the price. For LG CNS, a small start is possible at the current price. For LG Innotek, chasing without evidence above 700,000 KRW (+8.2%) is prohibited.

Chapter Seven

Practical Buy Roadmap — Price, Evidence, and Account Separation

This chapter is the core of the report. What is more important than the target price are the action rules set before buying.

Based on 100 units of new reserve capital

The allocation below is an example of new reserve capital unrelated to the existing portfolio. It is not a plan to use all 100 now, but a way to pre-assign the place for cash until the price and evidence arrive.

LG Electronics501525100 — Wait in the 170,000 KRW range
LG CNS3081012Within 8 — 60,000~65,000 KRW
LG Innotek2051050 — 570,000~600,000 KRW standby

If operating an LG Innotek event account, allocate a maximum of 5 out of a total limit of 20. Do not add it to the long-term allocation. The core of this structure is to allow 8 for CNS at the current price and leave the remaining 92 until the price or evidence arrives.

Conditions to admit the judgment was wrong

  1. LG Electronics: If the VS operating margin declines again, subscription growth slows to single digits, and AIDC fails to convert from MOUs into order backlogs, we will re-evaluate the rationale for its #1 ranking.
  2. LG CNS: If the growth rate of AI and Cloud remains lower than the company-wide average and new Physical AI contracts are limited to within the group, we will view its "low multiple" as a structural discount rather than an undervaluation.
  3. LG Innotek: If server FC-BGA customers and mass production revenue, or an upward revision in camera ASP/orders are officially confirmed, we will admit our #3 ranking was incorrect and immediately re-rank it against CNS.

Epilogue — What Matters More Than Rankings

All three companies can succeed. For LG Electronics, recurring profits buy time to wait for AIDC. For LG CNS, its low price provides room to wait for external orders. LG Innotek has the biggest dream, but must endure greater volatility to see that dream confirmed.

The final ranking is not a hierarchy that dictates returns, but rather a priority for capital allocation based on the order in which evidence accumulates. We buy LG Electronics first while waiting for adjustments, start small with LG CNS and increase positions when external replication is confirmed, and wait for LG Innotek until either the price or the evidence becomes attractive enough. We may raise target prices when stories turn into numbers, but the principle is to lower the purchase price as long as numbers are absent.
