Bull Target Price Valued by the Weight of the Catalysts
Humanoid actuators, AI server substrates, robot eyes, national data centers, digital currency payment networks — if the list of catalysts is this long, the bull target price should be valued by the weight of those catalysts.
The three listed companies of LG Group surged nearly two-fold side-by-side in just a month, only to undergo a steep correction over the past few days. Based on regular market closing prices, LG Electronics stood at 328,000 won, LG Innotek at 1,173,000 won, and LG CNS at 126,400 won, and in after-hours trading on the alternative exchange (NXT) after the regular market close, they slid further to 304,000 won for LG Electronics (intraday low of 296,500 won), 1,074,000 won for LG Innotek, and 115,800 won for LG CNS. This is the combined result of massive net selling by foreign investors, a surging Won/Dollar exchange rate (in the 1,530s range), and profit-taking following a one-month surge of +174%, +110%, and +106%. However, viewing this correction merely as a "bubble bursting" misses just how long the list of catalysts held by these three companies is. Humanoid actuators (half of the component cost), Nvidia physical AI alliance, memory-like supply shortage of AI server substrates, robot eyes (vision/sensor), national AI data centers, physical AI operating platforms, and national digital currency payment networks. If the list of catalysts is this long, the bull target price should not be set by multiplying current earnings by a multiple, but rather by converting each of those catalysts into business value and summing them up. And now that stock prices have plummeted, the upside potential to that target price has actually grown even larger.
This is why this report does not use a conservative PER (current earnings × multiple). For growth companies in the era of physical AI, future businesses that are not captured in current earnings—options with little or no revenue yet—are the core of their value. Therefore, this report **Sum-of-the-Parts (SOTP)**to evaluate and add each business and option separately. The core business applies a growth multiple to forward earnings; platform, subscription, and fintech revenues use a price-to-sales multiple (PSR); and future businesses are converted to the present value of TAM (Total Addressable Market) × penetration rate × future revenue. This is the actual yardstick the market will apply to AI, robotics, and fintech growth stocks in 2026.
"The sum of the parts is greater than the whole.
When each catalyst is converted into business value and added up,
the bull target price becomes as heavy as the weight of those catalysts."
However, while aggressive, we only present feasible numbers. All SOTP multiples are set within the actual trading multiples of peers (Taiwanese ABF substrates, global home appliances/automotive electronics, fintech/payments), and TAM and penetration rates are based on industry research from Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, BCG, Citi, etc. Unverified parts are clearly marked as [Estimate], and double-counting and bloated multiples have been excluded. The results are the three bull target prices below.
Summary of Bull Target Prices for the Three Companies (As of 2026/6/4 Regular Session Close / After-hours NXT).
| Company | Regular Session Close | After-hours (NXT) | Bull | Upside (After-hours) | Super Bull (Upside) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LG Electronics (066570) | 328,000 won | 304,000 won | 550,000 won | +81% | 620,000 won (+104%) |
| LG Innotek (011070) | 1,173,000 won | 1,074,000 won | 1,750,000 won | +63% | 2,050,000 won (+91%) |
| LG CNS (064400) | 126,400 won | 115,800 won | 194,000 won | +68% | 209,500 won (+81%) |
※ Target prices (Bull/Super Bull) are based on the sum-of-the-parts (SOTP) valuation, so they remain unchanged regardless of sharp drops in the stock price. The upside based on the regular session close is +68% for LG Electronics, +49% for LG Innotek, and +38% for LG CNS. The table above shows a larger upside because it is based on after-hours (NXT) prices.
How to view the current sharp drop — A combination of macro factors, profit-taking, and waiting for catalysts. Three factors overlapped in this correction. ① Macro: Foreigners net sold approximately 66 trillion won on the KOSPI for 19 consecutive trading days, and the USD/KRW exchange rate surged to 1,530 won. The US stock market was also weak overnight (Nasdaq -0.89%, Nvidia -3.6%). ② Profit-taking: A pullback from the one-month surges of +174%, +110%, and +106%. ③ Waiting for Catalysts: A physical AI meeting between Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Chairman Koo Kwang-mo is imminent. However, some parts of the market raise skepticism, saying, "Isaac and Omniverse are open platforms (also used by Hyundai Motor and Fanuc), and CLOiD commercialization is scheduled for 2028, which is far from generating short-term revenue." In other words, This sharp decline is not due to damaged fundamentals, but rather a combination of macro factors, profit-taking, and adjusted expectations, and the short-term direction will be determined once concrete cooperation (MOU/joint development) is confirmed at the meeting. The bull target price calculated in this report is based on the business value itself, not this short-term variable.
Chapter 1
Valuation Paradigm — From Earnings Multiple to Sum-of-the-Parts (SOTP)
If a company with multiple catalysts is valued solely by a single current earnings multiple, any options that have not yet generated revenue are valued at zero. This is why a Sum-of-the-Parts (SOTP) valuation is necessary. It involves evaluating each business and option individually using a benchmark tailored to its essence, and then adding them together.
Why a Single P/E Ratio Is Not Enough
If LG Electronics is viewed merely as a home appliance company, the multiple of global home appliance peers (such as Whirlpool's P/E of 8–10x) becomes its ceiling. However, LG Electronics encompasses a vehicle component (VS) order backlog of KRW 100 trillion, AI data center cooling, the webOS advertising platform, humanoid actuators, an Indian listed subsidiary, and a 40.8% stake in LG Innotek. Bundling all of these under a single home appliance multiple erases most of their value. The fact that the market has already assigned a market cap of approximately KRW 70 trillion (a high multiple relative to 2025 net profit) to LG Electronics is proof that the market no longer views LG Electronics as a pure home appliance company.
Three Benchmarks of Sum-of-the-Parts (SOTP) Valuation
| Target | Applied Criteria | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| Core Business (Profit Generation) | 2027 Forward EPS × Growth Multiple | Growth premium applied to earnings 2 years out, rather than current. AI substrates and automotive electronics are in the earnings J-curve phase. |
| Platform, Subscription, Fintech | Multiple to Sales (PSR) | For advertising, SaaS, and payment networks, revenue growth is the value driver rather than profit (Global platform PSR of 4~8x+) |
| Future Options (Early-stage/Pre-revenue) | TAM × Penetration Rate × Future Revenue → Discount to Present Value | Robot vision, actuators, STO, etc. Penetration rate premium applied when securing top-tier references |
| Subsidiary stake | Market Value × Ownership Stake × Holding Company Discount | Stakes such as LG Innotek are discounted after converting to market value |
Key point. The bull target price in this report is not "current earnings × multiple", but "the sum of the business values of each business/option". The more catalysts there are, the more items there are to add, which is why the bull target price increases with the weight of these catalysts. This is why a Bull target higher than a simple earnings multiple is derived, and at the same time, why it is not a bubble — because every item is anchored to the upper end of peer multiples and the industry TAM.
Chapter 2
LG Electronics — Sum-of-the-Parts (SOTP) of 6 Options
LG Electronics is undergoing a regime shift to become the "core Asian pillar of NVIDIA's physical AI supply chain." On top of its core home appliance business, six future options and a stake in a blue-chip subsidiary are added. Valuing and adding these parts separately, the bull-case target price significantly exceeds the current price.
Option 1 — Humanoid Actuators, Half of Robot BOM
🤖 Humanoid Actuators
The global humanoid TAM is projected by Goldman Sachs to reach $38B by 2035 (approx. 51 trillion KRW, upgraded 6x from the previous $6B) and by Morgan Stanley to reach $5T by 2050. The actuators (motor + driver + reducer module) targeted by LG Electronics make up about 50% of the humanoid Bill of Materials (BOM), the largest single component group. At CES 2026, they unveiled the home robot 'CLOiD' and the robot joint brand 'LG Actuator AXIUM'. The roadmap is initial in-house mass production in 2026 → supply to external customers in 2027 → home robot commercialization in 2028. Precision actuators are a high-barrier-to-entry segment that has been monopolized by Japan and China.
Option 2 — NVIDIA Physical AI Alliance
⚡ NVIDIA Alliance (Group Platform Option)
A first official meeting between CEO Jensen Huang and Chairman Koo Kwang-mo is scheduled for the evening of June 5, with the theme being physical AI, including robotics and mobility. Discussions are expected to cover cooperation such as integrating NVIDIA's Isaac robot software into CLOiD. As the market focus shifts from "who builds AI services" to "who builds physical infrastructure," LG has emerged as a core Asian pillar of NVIDIA's robot supply chain. This is a platform option that extends beyond a single component contract to span the entire group ecosystem (LG Innotek, CNS, Uplus).
Options 3–6 — Cooling, webOS, Automotive Electronics, India
| Option | Details | Valuation Basis |
|---|---|---|
| DC Cooling | 2030 Global DC Cooling $40.7B, Chiller $7.1B TAM. Secured Neom and US hyperscale contracts, targeting KRW 1T in revenue by 2027 | Targeting KRW 1T revenue by 2027 becomes visible → Growth infrastructure multiple |
| webOS Platform | Ad and content revenue exceeded KRW 1T in 2024, ranked 6th in US FAST, 4,000 channels across 33 countries | Applying Roku/Netflix-style PSR of 5x |
| Automotive Electronics (VS) | Order backlog exceeded KRW 100T, OPM stabilizing at 5–6%, record-high operating profit expected in 2025 | Margin leverage from KRW 100T backlog → Growth engine premium |
| India Subsidiary | Listing on the Indian stock market in October 2025, valuation of ₹1.12 lakh cr (approx. KRW 16T), oversubscribed by 54x | Holding company discount applied after valuing the approx. 85% stake |
Source: Goldman Sachs/Morgan Stanley Humanoid TAM, Korea Economic Daily (Nvidia Alliance), Arizton (DC Cooling TAM), LG.com (webOS), Asiae (Automotive Electronics 100T), 5paisa (India IPO)
Six options + subsidiary stakes. LG Electronics' bull case valuation is not driven by its core home appliance and TV business, but is the sum of six simultaneously igniting options — Actuator, Nvidia Alliance, Cooling, webOS, Automotive Electronics, and India — plus its 40.8% stake in LG Innotek (market value approx. KRW 29.6T × 0.408 = approx. KRW 12T). This stake adds value both as a net asset discount buffer in a conservative valuation and as an SOTP item in a bullish valuation. The detailed summation is covered in Chapter 5.
Chapter 3
LG Innotek — AI Substrate Supercycle + Eyes of Humanoids
LG Innotek's bull narrative rests on two pillars: the profit J-curve of "moving from Apple cameras to AI substrates," and the option expansion of "moving from smartphone cameras to the eyes of humanoids." It stands at an inflection point, transforming its weakness of single-source reliance on Apple (83% of optical solutions) into multiple growth drivers in robotics and automotive electronics.
Core Business — AI Server FC-BGA, Memory-like Supply Shortage
🔲 AI Server FC-BGA Substrate (Engine of the Profit J-Curve)
The global FC-BGA market is projected to more than double from $8B in 2022 to $16.4B in 2030. AI/GPU, ASIC, and networking chips will account for up to 75% of this demand (10% in 2015 → 75% in 2030, Morgan Stanley). In Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform, the share of substrate cost compared to the previous generation (Blackwell) more than doubled and the lead time for 14-layer substrates has surged to 28 weeks, keeping AI substrate lines running at 100% capacity even during the off-season. KB Securities views this as "benefiting from a supply shortage similar to memory semiconductors."
In terms of financial performance, Package Solution revenue is projected to rise from KRW 1.7T in 2025 to KRW 2.69T (+KRW 1T) in 2027. Although it accounts for only 10% of total company revenue, its share of operating profit is set to expand to 30% . The operating profit margin is also set to jump from 7.5% in 2025 to 16.7% in 2027. This profit J-curve is the core driver of the 2027E EPS of KRW 45,325.
★ New Growth Engine — Eyes of Humanoids (Vision & Sensors)
Humanoid robots cannot move a single step without "eyes." Those eyes—camera modules, 3D sensing, ToF, and depth—are the core technologies that LG Innotek has built up over 20 years in partnership with Apple and autonomous driving. The company has already secured two top-tier US humanoid robotics firms simultaneously.
👁️ Boston Dynamics — Joint development of next-generation vision system for Atlas (2025.5)
for the next-generation Atlas model **'RGB+3D Sensing Integrated Vision Sensing Module'**will be jointly developed. This is an integrated module capable of recognition even at night and in bad weather, representing a deep collaboration to co-design the robot's cognitive system rather than a simple supply agreement.
👁️ Figure AI — Camera module supply, annual production of 1 million units (2025.6)
An agreement has been reached to supply camera modules to Figure AI, a leading US humanoid startup. Figure has announced plans to produce 1 million units annually; once mass production materializes, it will become a stable, large-scale demand source for LG Innotek's vision modules.
🖐️ Robot 'Hand' Actuators — Entering a domain monopolized by Japan and China
Going beyond vision (eyes), the company is also preparing a new business in robot 'hand' actuators. Precision actuators are a high-barrier-to-entry domain monopolized by Japan and China, framing a strategy to expand into both pillars of humanoid components: cameras (eyes) and actuators (hands).
Management's commitments and the numbers. CEO Moon Hyuk-soo stated at CES 2026, "Humanoid sensing components entered mass production this year (2026) and are already generating tens of billions of won in revenue, and are expected to enter large-scale mass production in 2027–2028." The vision BOM per humanoid robot ranges from hundreds to thousands of dollars, consisting of 6 to 10 cameras (e.g., Figure 02 = 6 RGB cameras for 360-degree vision) plus 3D ToF, depth, and LiDAR. Compared to smartphones (which have 2 to 3 cameras), the optical content per unit is much richer, and its unit price and margin leverage are poised to exceed mobile technology. Vision sensor TAM: $134M (2025) → $396M (2032); overall humanoid market: $2.9B → $15.3B (2030, CAGR 39%).
Sources: PRNewswire (Boston Dynamics joint dev), KoreaTimes/Kyunghyang (Figure supply, Moon Hyuk-soo CES remarks), MarketsandMarkets/intelmarketresearch (Humanoid/Vision sensor TAM), Shinhan Securities (TP 1.5M), KB Securities (TP 1.6M)
Double engine. LG Innotek's bull case value lies in two tracks. ① "A J-curve where substrates, accounting for 8% of revenue, generate 30% of profit" supports the 2027E EPS of 45,325 KRW, driving a re-rating toward Taiwanese ABF peer multiples (Unimicron EV/EBITDA 33x). ② The Apple-dependent optical company leverages references from Boston Dynamics and Figure to become a humanoid vision core supplier, and this option is barely captured in current earnings (EPS). Glass substrates, foldables, and hand actuators are additional call options layered on top.
Chapter 4
LG CNS — The 3 Core Infrastructure Options: Data Centers, Physical AI, and CBDC
LG CNS is not just a simple SI (System Integration) company, but a platform operator that simultaneously holds three pillars of Korea's digital infrastructure: AI data centers, Physical AI, and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). These three options are layered on top of its core business (2025 revenue of 6.13T KRW, operating profit of 555.8B KRW, OPM of 9.1%, with AI and cloud accounting for nearly 60%).
Issue ① Data Centers — Secured Revenues Support the Floor
🏢 AI Data Center DBO (Design, Build, Operate)
The Korean AI-optimized data center market is projected to grow from $0.58B in 2025 to $1.89B in 2030, at an annual rate of 26.6% (Mordor). LG CNS introduced Korea's first DBO model in 2019 and ranks 1st, holding approximately 60% of the market in design and consulting.
The reality of secured revenue — Samsong Data Center. Naver Cloud colocation contract of 603.4B KRW (2026.7–2035.5, approx. 9 years) + IGIS consignment operation of 182B KRW = a combined long-term revenue of approximately 780B KRW is already contracted. This is not an estimate, but a secured cash flow that firmly supports the downside of the bull scenario. The company also won a ~420B KRW contract for a hyperscale AI DC in Jakarta—a first for a domestic company overseas—and export options to emerging markets are opening up with its modular 'AI Box' that can be built in six months.
Issue ② Physical AI — RX Platform Valued at Zero in Consensus
🦾 PhysicalWorks — Full-Stack Robot Transformation (RX)
On May 7, 2026, Korea's first integrated 'learning-to-operation' robot transformation platform, 'PhysicalWorks,' was unveiled. Rather than simple teleoperation, it uses its proprietary RFM (Robot Foundation Model) to successfully demonstrate, for the first time in Korea, autonomous collaboration among four different types of robots: bipedal, quadrupedal, wheeled, and AMR. The hardware-agnostic strategy adopts robot bodies from Unitree, Agibot, and Dexmate, while refining the RFM 'brain' with Skilled AI (invested in 2025). Across sectors like electronics, batteries, logistics, and shipbuilding, PoCs are underway at over 20 locations(approx. 10 in progress, approx. 10 under discussion), shortening robot deployment periods from several months to 1–2 months, demonstrating a +15% increase in productivity and a -18% reduction in operating costs based on 100 units. Tangible results are expected around 2028.
Issue ③ CBDC — Beyond One-off SI to National Payment Network Operator
💳 CBDC, Stablecoins, STO — Integrated Digital Currency Infrastructure
The three mega-themes converge into digital currency infrastructure. Domestic STO (Security Tokens) is projected to grow from 119 trillion KRW in 2026 to 367 trillion KRW in 2030 (equivalent to approx. 90% of KOSDAQ's market cap, BCG), while global Stablecoins are currently at around $300 billion → over $1 trillion by 2030 (BCG), KRW stablecoins will enter the institutional system once the Digital Asset Basic Act is passed in 2026.
LG CNS's exclusive track record. Following its sole win of the Bank of Korea's CBDC usability test contract worth 9.68 billion KRW (Dec 2023), Sole primary contractor for Phase 2 of 'Project Hangang' as wellC. Deposit tokens' government subsidy execution application (world's first) — To be demonstrated on EV charging subsidies in H1 2026 (Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment budget of 545.7 billion KRW). The Phase 1 system is already built (2025.6), and the transition to commercialization will be decided through follow-up testing in Q4 2026. Upon commercialization, it will transition to recurring revenue (SaaS model) based on operation and payment transactions.

It is not "priced in," but rather "the option remains alive, independent of the core." Looking at LG CNS solely through its core business multiple traps it in a short-term frame of being "already expensive." However, the three options—data centers (secured revenue), Physical AI (RFM subscription), and CBDC (payment network SaaS)—are barely captured in core earnings. When these options are stacked on top of the core business using SOTP, the bull target price opens up well above the core multiple.
Chapter 5
Bull Target Price — Bullish Scenario Valued via SOTP
Now, we convert each business and option into business value and sum them up. The core business is valued at forward EPS × growth multiple, platforms at PSR, future options at the present value of TAM × penetration rate, and subsidiaries at market value × stake % × discount. The sum of these is the Bull target price.

※ Since FC-BGA profits are already reflected in the core business EPS, the options only add new portions not captured in the EPS (removing double-counting).
LG CNS — Core Business + 3 Major Infrastructure Options SOTP
🎯 LG CNS (Regular Session 126,400 / After-hours NXT 115,800 KRW / 96.89M shares / 2025 Revenue 6.13T)
| Segment | Valuation | Business Value |
|---|---|---|
| Core Business (SI + AI/Cloud 60%) | 2027E Earnings × Forward PER 18x (Growth Premium) | Approx. 12 trillion KRW |
| CBDC & Stablecoin Option [Estimate] | Compared to global Circle (PSR 11x) and Fiserv (3.3x), world's first Han River demonstration and policy monopoly premium. 2030E Payment Network Revenue × PSR 3–5x | Approx. 2.5 trillion KRW |
| Physical AI (RFM) Option [Estimate] | Excluding the PSR bubble of Korean robot stocks, reflecting only the synergy of combining with LG Electronics' humanoid HW | Approx. 1.8 trillion KRW |

| STO Option [Estimate] | Unlike Securitize (operator 18x), LG CNS is SI (PSR 1–3x), with the operating pool attributed to Koscom | Approx. 1.0 trillion KRW |
| Total / Bull Target Price | ÷ 96.89 million shares | Approx. 18.8 trillion KRW → 194,000 KRW |
Bull 194,000 KRW (+68% based on after-hours price) Super Bull 209,500 KRW (+81%): Approx. 20.3 trillion KRW if the passing of the Digital Asset Basic Act + CBDC commercialization + core business PER re-rating are realized simultaneously (upside of +54%/+66% based on regular market closing price of 126,400)
※ Core business PER is 18x, adding a growth premium to Samsung SDS's forward PER (13x). Options only add new portions not captured in the core business profit.
Summary of Bull Target Prices for the Three Companies. The bull target prices calculated using the sum-of-the-parts (SOTP) valuation are LG Electronics 550,000 KRW, LG Innotek 1.75 million KRW, LG CNS 194,000 KRW. Based on the 6/4 after-hours (NXT) price, the upside potential for each is +81%·+63%·+68%, which actually expanded as the stock prices fell sharply. There is only one reason why the target price itself is high—because options with no revenue yet were added as business value instead of being valued at zero. At the same time, there is one reason why it is not a bubble—every item is anchored to the top of peer multiples and the industry TAM, and double counting has been eliminated.
Chapter 6
Top 3 Options the Market Values at Zero and the #1 Priority for Trend Following
The essence of a bull bet lies in identifying "options that the market still values at zero." This is because re-rating occurs the moment those options translate into fundamentals.
🥇 Option 1 — LG CNS, Status as the Operator of the National Digital Currency Payment Network
Instead of one-off SI revenue, it is created by a sole reference in the national CBDC payment network + KRW stablecoin and STO (367 trillion KRW by 2030) issuance infrastructure, yielding SaaS-type recurring revenue. If the Digital Asset Basic Act passes, commercialization could begin as early as 2027. This is a multiple trigger that re-rates an SI company as a payment network operator, which is currently barely reflected in the price.
🥈 Option 2 — LG Innotek, Humanoid Vision Mass Production Ramp + Hand Actuator
By securing two top-tier US companies, Boston Dynamics and Figure, at the same time, it is "already generating tens of billions of won in revenue." However, the mass production ramp-up in 2027–28 is barely reflected in EPS and valuation. If we add its entry into the robot hand actuator market, which was previously monopolized by Japan and China, the transition from a single Apple axis to multiple robotic axes will resolve the multiple discount.
🥉 Option 3 — LG CNS, Physical AI RFM subscription revenue + LG Electronics actuators
LG CNS's RX (Robot Transformation) revenue is practically zero in consensus. It is not reflected even though it demonstrated autonomous collaboration of four different types of robots with its proprietary RFM and has about 20 PoC sites running. Adding LG Electronics' humanoid actuators (50% of BOM), the group's vertical integration synergy (LG Electronics HW + CNS brain + Innotek eye) is not priced in.
Trend-Following Entry Manual
| Stock | Trend Strength | Entry Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| LG Electronics | Strongest (New High Breakout) | Even if RSI is above 70, the trend remains valid if the breakout angle is steep. Buying in installments at pullbacks after stabilizing above the 20-day moving average. The outcome of the NVIDIA meeting on 6/5 is a short-term catalyst |
| LG Innotek | Strong (AI Substrate + Robot) | Chasing is justified upon confirmation of Vera Rubin mass production and humanoid vision mass production. Buying in installments after confirming support at 1.16 million following the -18% crash on 6/2. |
| LG CNS | Medium (Overhang Resolved) | Exhaustion of Macquarie overhang + CBDC 4Q26 real-transaction testing are re-rating triggers. Bet on option SOTP during corrections. |
Most Aggressive #1 — LG Electronics, Option Scarcity #1 — LG CNS
Top Allocation Priority: LG Electronics. The number of options (6) × TAM size (Morgan Stanley's $5T humanoid) × catalyst immediacy (6/5 NVIDIA meeting, chiller revenue generation, third-party actuator sales) is the largest among the three companies. The bullish target price, calculated as the SOTP sum, also exceeds the after-hours price by more than 80%.Top Option Scarcity Priority: LG CNS — Its exclusive reference as the operator of the national digital currency payment network is an irreplaceable, scarce asset. Top Priority for Tangibility of Materials & Earnings Support: LG Innotek — The FC-BGA profit J-curve actually drives up 2027E EPS, supporting the option.
3-Company Aggressive Allocation Strategy
For an aggressive portfolio, the allocation is LG Electronics > LG Innotek > LG CNS in that order. LG Electronics is the core due to its bundle of options and trend strength; LG Innotek is second, with its profit J-curve supporting its options; and LG CNS, while its scarce options are attractive, is suited for a satellite allocation bought in installments during corrections due to the high volatility of its core business multiple. Since all three companies are tied together and move under the same AI and Physical AI narrative, the overall allocation should be managed keeping in mind that they are three stocks in one basket.
Chapter 7
Overheating Risk and Trailing Stop-Loss
Aggressive investing is not reckless investing. Ride the trend, but pre-define signs of trend reversals, and protect profits with trailing stop-losses. Behind a twofold surge in a single month lies a clear risk of overheating.
| Stock | Overheating & Retracement Risk |
|---|---|
| LG Electronics | Surged +174% in 1 month. 1st and 2nd rounds of volatility are inevitable upon MACD bearish divergence or RSI peak slowing [Estimated]. If the 6/5 meeting is interpreted as "commercialization is not yet ready," expectations priced in advance will retrace. Price competition in core Home Appliance & HE businesses. If SOTP multiple assumptions break, the floor is the core business value (in the 40 trillion won range). |
| LG Innotek | Volatility of +110% over 1 month, and a -18% plunge on 6/2 alone. Multiple compression alongside peers if Apple's foldable sales underperform or Taiwanese peers undergo correction. 84% single-client reliance on Apple and seasonality. Humanoid vision revenue is still in its early stages at "tens of billions of won," which could delay the realization of option value. |
| LG CNS | +106% over 1 month. Consensus target price for the core business is conservative enough to fall below the current price — if the option SOTP falls apart, valuation will revert to the core business multiple. Revenue guidance for the main Physical AI and CBDC projects remains unconfirmed (within the [estimation] range). 68.7% client concentration on captive (intra-group) transactions. |
| Macro & Flows | Foreigners net selling KOSPI for 19 consecutive trading days (approx. 66 trillion won), USD/KRW surging to 1,530 won, overnight US market weakness (Nasdaq -0.89%, Nvidia -3.6%), and an additional -7 to -8% plunge in NXT after-hours trading following the market close. If the AI memory cycle turns downward at the inflection point in late 2026, the LG Group companies will undergo a joint correction. |
| Meeting & Skepticism | Risk of the meeting with Jensen Huang ending with "only photos, no concrete purchase orders." Isaac and Omniverse are open platforms (also used by Hyundai Motor and Fanuc, not exclusive to LG), and CLOiD commercialization is set for 2028, meaning it is far from imminent near-term revenue. The realization of option value could be delayed. |
Stop-loss discipline for aggressive investing.
- Trend Trailing: If MACD bearish divergence + RSI peak slowdown occur simultaneously after entry, trailing stop-loss is triggered
- LG Innotek: After-hours low of 1,051,000 KRW is the primary support; stop-loss if closing price breaks below 1.05 million KRW
- LG Electronics: Defending support at 300,000 KRW (low of 296,500) after-hours is key; stop-loss if closing price breaks below 296,000 KRW. For LG CNS, buy in installments after confirming support at 115,000 KRW
- Common: Reduce exposure upon signals of an AI memory cycle inflection (2H 2026)
Betting aggressively does not mean holding on without a stop-loss. The discipline of aggressive investing is to actively ride the trend while it is alive, but pre-define signals of a trend reversal and mechanically reduce exposure when those signals appear. Although the bullish target price, calculated as the sum-of-the-parts (SOTP), significantly exceeds the current price, that sum is built on option multiple assumptions. Remembering that if the assumptions break, the downside will revert to the core business value, the execution method for betting on future value is to enter in installments during pullbacks and protect profits with trailing stop-losses when the trend is broken.
Epilogue
Number of Options × TAM × Catalyst
The more drivers there are, the more items there are to add. The bull target price is the sum of those parts, and thus it grows heavier with the weight of those drivers.
This report values the three LG sister companies using a sum-of-the-parts (SOTP) approach rather than current earnings multiples. If we lump companies with multiple drivers under a single PER, options that do not yet generate revenue are all reduced to zero. Therefore, we evaluated and added each business and option separately, using benchmarks tailored to their nature.
For LG Electronics, on top of its core home appliance business, six options—actuators, Nvidia alliance, cooling, webOS, automotive electronics, and India—plus a 12 trillion won stake in LG Innotek are layered, bringing the sum of parts to approximately 83–90 trillion won, or 550,000 won per share. For LG Innotek, the FC-BGA earnings J-curve (2027E EPS 45,325 won) supports its core business, on top of which humanoid vision, hand actuator, and glass substrate options are added to reach approximately 41–42 trillion won, or 1.75 million won per share. For LG CNS, layered on top of its core business (12 trillion won) are four major options revalued based on global peers (Circle, Equinix, Securitize) and business feasibility in Korea—CBDC/stablecoin (world's first Han River pilot project) 2.5 trillion won, Physical AI 1.8 trillion won, data centers 1.5 trillion won, and STO 1.0 trillion won—bringing the total to approximately 18.8 trillion won, or 194,000 won per share.
The bull target price is 550,000 won for LG Electronics, 1.75 million won for LG Innotek, and 194,000 won for LG CNS, and the ultra-bull targets are 620,000 won, 2.05 million won, and 209,500 won, respectively. Based on the after-hours (NXT) price on 6/4, the upside potential is +81%, +63%, and +68%, meaning the sharp drop did not cut the target prices but rather widened the entry upside. These are all well-grounded figures calculated within the actual TAM and bullish IB data from Goldman, Morgan, BCG, Citi, and KB, initial contracts, and the upper end of peer multiples. Because options with no current revenue were added as business value instead of zero, the upside potential is substantial, and since every item is anchored to peer multiples and TAM, it is not a bubble.
The conclusion is simple. Do not value catalysts at zero. When viewed as the sum of the parts, the bull target price becomes as substantial as the weight of the catalysts. The top priority for allocation is LG Electronics with its bundle of options; the top priority for option scarcity is LG CNS, the national payment network operator; and the top priority for earnings support is LG Innotek. Ride the trend, but stay disciplined.
"The sum of the parts is greater than the whole.
Humanoid eyes, national data centers, digital currency —
If you convert catalysts into business value and add them up, the Bull case carries the weight of the catalysts."
